Description: Zoning Districts – Overlay Attribute table information:GIS-PIN (Gis-Pin): Unique PIN Number assigned to a parcel by the Columbia County Land Information DepartmentZONE_TYPE (Overlay Zoning District): Overlay Zoning Districts pursuant to the County’s Zoning Ordinance, Title 16, Chapter 100. A-4 Agricultural Overlay District: The A-4 Overlay District is intended to enhance the prospect of long-term farmland and open space preservation over areas where it is mapped. The A-4 District will be mapped over an underlying base agricultural zoning district (i.e., A-1 through A-3) to impose regulation in addition to those required by that base agriculture district. This overlay district will generally be used in areas mapped for Agricultural or Other Open Space use in the Comprehensive Plan, must be used as a means to track and maintain development density policies of County and town plans and ordinances.PD Overlay Districts (PD-1 Planned Residential District, PD-2 Planned Commercial District, PD-3 Planned Industrial District: The Planned Residential, Commercial, and Industrial Development Overlay Districts (PD-1, PD-2, and PD-3 respectively) are intended to promote improved design and innovative land uses in the County in accordance with the County Comprehensive Plan. These overlay districts allow variation in the relationship of uses, structures, and open spaces in developments that are conceived and implemented as cohesive, unified projects. These unified projects must be developed in accordance with detailed site plans approved only following a careful review process. In exchange for this detailed planning, these overlay districts offer flexibility from standards required in the underlying base zoning district. Areas that may be deemed appropriate for one of the Planned Development Overlay Districts include: land use transititional areas, areas where a mix of land uses already exists, infill or redevelopment areas, established or planned commercial areas, and areas designated as “special areas” within a town or the County’s Comprehensive Plan.PZ_ Acres (Overlay Acres): Acreage of overlay district applied to the specific parcel pursuant to the applicable Ordinance.ADOPTED_DATE (Date Adopted): Date the township adopted the County Zoning Ordinance - Title 16, Chapter 100ZFILE (Zoning File): Planning and Zoning Rezoning file number.ORD_NO (Ordinance): Ordinance number recording the rezoning.ORD_DATE (Ordinance Date): Date the ordinance was passed.UPDATE_ID (Update ID): Planning and Zoning staff member who last updated the entry.UPDATE_DATE (Date Updated): Date entry was updated by the Planning and Zoning staff member.NOTES (Notes): Notes regarding the specific polygon/parcel.
